Road America: Daniel Oliver and Travis Hill leave the endurance finale with the Bronze Cup tied

Daniel Oliver and Travis Hill brought the No. 2 Shopify Racing Ligier JS P325 home sixth overall in Sunday’s two-hour IMSA Airbnb Endurance Challenge finale at Road America — and, crucially, ahead of the car they needed to beat.
Fourth in the Bronze Cup on the day, the No. 2 came home ahead of the No. 77 Forte Racing Ligier of Brian Thienes and Patrick Kujala — seventh overall after an early trip through the gravel at Elkhart Lake cost the car two laps. That single position levels the Bronze Cup championship: Hill goes to the season finale tied on points with Thienes.

How it played out
Sunday’s race across the 4.048-mile, 14-turn road course was decided by attrition at the front. Pole-sitter Oscar Tunjo built a lead of more than 24 seconds in the opening half hour before an apparent mechanical failure pitched the No. 1 Gebhardt Duqueine into the gravel at the Carousel with 56 minutes left — the second of two full-course cautions.
That handed the race to Toney Driver Development: Wyatt Brichacek and Lincoln Day won in the No. 95 Ligier JS P325, with teammates Ari Balogh and Garett Grist second in the No. 30 to take the inaugural Airbnb Endurance Challenge title from third in the standings.
Through it all the No. 2 crew ran a clean race and banked the position that mattered. In a championship being decided on a handful of points, finishing one place ahead of a direct rival is the whole job.
It comes down to Petit Le Mans
The Bronze Cup is now Travis Hill’s to settle. The IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge season closes with the LMP3 field rejoining the Grand Sport X grid at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta across the Motul Petit Le Mans weekend, 30 September – 3 October 2026 — one of the great weekends on the North American sports car calendar, and a fitting place to settle a title that has gone the distance.

The team put it plainly after the race: “This is what we race for. Time to lock in and get ready to fight for an IMSA championship at Road Atlanta.”

Season so far
Road America was Daniel’s second IMSA endurance start of 2026, following his debut at the Circuit of the Americas in May, and his first outing with Shopify Racing, the Canadian programme founded by Shopify’s Tobi Lütke and run in partnership with TWOth Autosport. It comes barely two years on from the sim rig where the whole thing started.
